Library Instruction Team

Charge

The University Librarian has identified user instruction as a principal focus for the Princeton University Library. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Research and Instruction, the Library Instruction Team is charged with providing guidance and recommendations on the philosophy, techniques, and content of library instruction. The Instruction Team shall also make recommendations concerning equipment, software, and facilities in support of library instruction. The Library Instruction Team shall compose a Mission for Library Instruction and other guiding documents to inform and harmonize library instruction efforts with accepted best practices in support of the educational mission of the University. The Library Instruction Team shall lead discussion on issues concerning library instruction at Princeton and other peer institutions, and sponsor events to inform professional staff about library instruction efforts and trends.
